We invited ten performers - five musicians and five dancers - and paired them with someone they've never performed with. We played match maker - and were careful to take risks. What will happen? We don't exactly know. Blind Date is here to inspire a conversation. To bring the possibilities between music and dance into focus, help us understand and challenge the continuum of improvisation in performance, and to anticipate the unknown--the inherent potential for disaster and greatness that comes from this edge of inquiry.

wing of the shared endeavors of Anna Drozdowski (proprietor of
Ladybird) and Dustin Hurt (founder of Bowerbird). It’s our way of
sharing dance, music, and things between with one another and with you.
A field guide to curiosities and bits of culture matter, an almanac of
small pieces loosely joined. First hatched for the Blindspot Festival,
thirdbird is a thing we are building – in good company - and slowly by
